The concert has two very different solo performances, one on percussion (marimba and vibraphone) and the other on accordion. Tickets are available via the church website (www.allhallowstwick.org.uk), on 020 8241 2345, or you can pay on the door.
Firstly, Matthew Farthing plays colourful contemporary music for marimba and vibraphone. Matthew was a BBC Young Musician finalist in 2014 and is now studying at the Royal College of Music.
Next, Julie Luck plays a variety of pieces for accordion, including Bach, Scarlatti, folk, musette and even a tango. Julie is keen to show the versatility of the accordion and hopes to enthuse others to develop a love for it.
All Hallows Music Festival continues with a choral concert of Handel and Mozart on Saturday 24th June. Then there’s a free Promenade Concert on Sunday 25th at noon, showcasing local young talent in a programme of chamber music for easy listening.
