Additional Information:
All Hallows Festival Chorus & Orchestra perform a programme of popular – mostly Baroque – music. This is a real community event, with local singers and soloists performing alongside professional musicians.
The music includes Bach’s “Suite No.2” (with flute solo by Vanessa Morgan, age 18), two of Handel’s “Coronation Anthems”, Haydn’s “Te Deum” and Vivaldi’s “Concerto for Two Trumpets” (solos by Peter Athans and Daniel Crouch).
This is the second event in the All Hallows Music Festival, 8th to 10th June. The festival opens on Friday with a concert by Sérafine, London’s sparkling new chamber choir, who will be singing a choral tapestry from Renaissance to Twenty-first Century.
The music continues on Sunday 10th June with a free Promenade Concert in the Cloister at 2.30pm. This features local young musicians playing chamber music for easy listening. With tea and cake stall!
