meeting is on Wednesday 8th September when Ian Dow will giv a talk “Lights, Camers, Action OOPS”.
Ian was an Engineering Manager with BBC TV Outside Broadcasts, in charge of technical operations at Wimbledon for seven years.
However he is better known for unusual shows, for example, broadcasts from a big dipper, a dustcart, an airship and from the middle of the Channel Tunnel with Mr Blobby.
All are welcome to meetings whether members of Elmbridge U3A or just interested in the subject of the talk.

The challenge is to complete the 5k lap of the racecourse, whether it be running, jogging, or walking..
You're welcome to liven up the day by taking part in fancy dress! Prizes will be awarded for the most sponsorship raised and the best fancy dress costume.
Each entrant will receive a medal for completing the race, with a trophy presented to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.
The event will also include entertainment, so whether it's you, or your cheering fans, there will be lots to do!

Display to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Battle of Britain:
Come and see how the people of Surrey responded to the outbreak of the Second World War, how local people were involved in the development of the British War machine and what impact the battle for the skies had on Surrey’s civilians.
This display includes images of unique contemporary archival documents and photographs from the early years of WWII, 1939-1940.
