Jo Adam of Hampton Hill is trekking to Everest Base Camp over Easter to raise money for the Woking Hospice where her mother Anna spent some time last year. Jo says, “The help, care & support given to my mother and the family was absolutely amazing.”
“Life changed massively when mummy died. It made me think what I could do to help raise money for Woking. To do something well outside my comfort zone. The trek will take about three weeks, reaching the base camp at Kala Pattar (5545m) in about 12 days.”
“I know it’s going to be very challenging; dealing with the possibility of altitude sickness, basic facilities and that it's a jolly long way! I’m a single mum and can't imagine just how much I'm going to miss my lovely son Guy, I hope he'll forgive me”
