Youth offender panels are a completely new way of dealing with young people who commit offences-
Panel members will listen to key people (parents, etc) and discuss and agree with the young offender a plan of action designed to put right the harm already done and prevent future offending.
Each panel will have two community members who are volunteers from the local area and a member of the local youth offending team.
