Palms and Cycads, a Glasshouse trail
At RHS Garden Wisley , Wisley Lane , Woking
Time: The Glasshouse is open daily from 10am – 5:15pm
Come and follow the trail around the Glasshouse to discover everything about our featured palms and cycads. These exotic plants from faraway places first appeared in the fossil record around 80 million years ago.
Their varied forms mean that they are used in many different ways from food to furniture.

Kingston & Richmond Met Police Youth Football Tournament

We are organising and holding a Metropolitan Police led youth tournament on behalf of non profit org. [email protected] Winners will qualify for a national tournament in July. We hope RadioJackie can join us and amplify our work and reinforce positive messages
The day will be about bringing the community, police force together and using the power of football to aid our future generation particularly those proven difficult to reach and guiding them to a range of healthy and constructive activities

FREE May Fayre, family fun

It’s May Bank Holiday, so the Horsell Scouts and Guides will be out in force for their main annual fundraising event, the May Fayre with Impressive Ridgeside Falconry Display team, Soft play, inflatables, face painting, Dog Agility and climbing wall,
joined this year by an exciting caving experience. Another new item for this year is the craft tent with local stalls where you will be sure to find that special something. Why don’t you also taking it easy by watching the talented Summercales
Dancers or listening to live music from the Music Marquee, filled with local singers and musicians to entertain you. Another enjoyable part of the day is the sampling of the delights from the cakes in the refreshment tent to the BBQ or pancake stall,
washed down with fine ales from the busy Thurstons Brewery beer tent; you, your friends and family will have a great day.
