Tales from the Tower is the first lecture of Hounslow and District History Society’s new season-
The speaker is Chris Hern M.B.E., author, town planner and local historian.
Chris will outline his researches into the history of Hounslow Powdermills, in particular covering the role of the then Earl of Northumberland.
The actual history of the Tower which stands in Crane Park will be explained. This is a familiar local landmark so it will be particularly interesting to learn more about it.
