The original site was a Royal Hunting Lodge under Henry VII but the present Grade II listed building dates from 1802.
The talk will include The history of its Great Library of Hanworth Park 1828-1873 and whether there are any remains today will be covered.
The public career of Alfred Lafone, MP and JP, the house’s last private owner, will also be described.
